[lsst-dm-stack-users] DM Stack build troubles: OSX 10.8.5

Folks,

I ran into a spot of trouble building the DM Stack on my Mac OS X 10.8.5 
system (XCode 5.0.2 installed). It looks like a great many things built 
successfully, but the final messages (to STDOUT) were:

scons: *** [python/lsst/afw/image/imageLib_wrap.os] Error 1
scons: building terminated because of errors.
lssteupsbuild.sh: scons install failed; see 
/Users/shaw/LSST/stack72/EupsBuildDir/DarwinX86/afw-7.1.2.0+1/afw-7.1.2.0/build.log 
for details
eups distrib: Failed to build and install afw/7.1.2.0/afw-7.1.2.0.tar.gz

The  build.log is attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.  Incidentally, there were a lot of errors like the following, during the 
build:
Cannot guess version without .git directory or git.version file; version will 
be set to "unknown"
